Bikescheme is a Government sponsored initiative that allows companies to buy bikes (and cycle safety accessories) and then loan them to employees to encourage them to leave their cars behind and cycle to work instead.

Your employees pay for the bike through a Salary Sacrifice arrangement and are in effect hiring the bike from you, their employer, and paying for this through their gross or pre-taxed pay. They are therefore able to make savings of between 31% and 41% through lower Tax and National Insurance (NI) contributions.

Bikeschemewhich is run in conjunction with Halfords  stores, enables employees to go to any Halfords, Bikehut or Cycle Republic outlet and choose exactly what they want (subject to a maximum limit of £1000).

Bikescheme allows employees to hire the bike and accessories over a 12 month hire period.  The company can choose to pay for the bikes on invoice or alternatively we provide a leasing option which means there is no capital outlay for the company.
